Description

Citgo Ad June 1965Full color 9 1/2″ x 13″ ad that announces that Cities Service has changed their name to Citgo. The ad has a picture of a Service Station with the name Cities Service fading and the sign saying Citgo becoming prominent. A group of attendants is swarming around a car that has pulled up to a pump and the mother and young girl are returning from a trip to the restroom with no ill effects or air borne illnesses. The ad headline says “ZZOOOMMM! Cities Service has changed into something more powerful.”. Rather than having us think that it was a simple buyout they are claiming “Zzooooommm in a new gasoline. Zzooommm in a new oil. Zzoooommmm in a new spirit in service”.
