1924 Star – Black and white 8″ x 10 3/4″ ad for Star Motor Cars from Durant Motors Inc. The ad introduces it as “A Quality Car for $540” and proceeds to talk about eleven Quality Features that you will find on all Star cars. It talks about the car having a Continental Red Seal Motor which uses Force-Feed Lubrication, a Durant Tubular Backbone for structural strength, a Standard Transmission and a Vacuum Feed Fuel System, Strong Spiral-beval Rear Axle Gears and a High-grade Cooling System, the comfort of a Disc Clutch and the ease of Alemite Lubrication, the convenience of Demountable Rims and Extra Rim and a ride made more comfortable by the use of Semi-Elliptic Springs. The ad lists the five models available as being the Touring for $540. the Roadster for $540, the Coupe for $750, the Sedan for $820 and the Chassis for $445.
