Description
1935 Auburn – Black and white 9 1/2″ x 13 1/2″ ad for the car they consider to be designed “For Smart People”. There is a drawing of one of these cars seen from the side with a woman in a formal gown walking across the foreground. All around this picture are drawings of men dressed for other activities, both formal and informal, business and relaxation. The text begins by saying that “The new 1935 Auburn Models gayly reflect the growing vogue for a more affluent existence” and continues by talking about the beauty, luxury and stability built into these cars. It then claims that they “look like $3000 cars, but sell for only $695 and up, at the factory”.
