Full color 9 1/2″ x 13 1/2″ ad that is for Campbell’s Green Pea Soup. The ad starts off with the Campbell’s Girl busily working on shucking a bushel full of peas while the Campbell’s Guy comes running towards her with another bushel full of them. The ad says that “Here’s a smooth puree of peas; Sure to tempt you…sure to please!”. The ad then goes to a picture of a table set with many good-looking foods, first of which is a big bowl of Campbell’s Green Pea Soup along with croutons floating there. Alongside the soup there are two different dishes, ones that I, in my ignorance, choose not to hazard a guess. The text tells you to “Taste that delicious flavor…of green peas blended with real country butter, deliciously seasoned to bring out the flavor. Hare’s a soup that makes any lunch taste better…that adds warm cheer to dinner, too. Enjoy it soon. Like all Campbell’s Soups, it takes 4 minutes to prepare, costs less than 7 cents a bowl. Makes a pleasure of the happy habit”.
