International Harvester Truck Ad 1960 JuneInternational Trucks – Full color 9 1/2″ x 13 1/2″ ad that encourages you to “Price-test an International before you buy any truck”. The ad has four different models pictured with an Orange Platform Truck occupying the spotlight. This truck is fully loaded and the driver is looking backward as though he is going to back in and deliver his load. The caption mentions a variety of options but claims that “V-8 power is standard”. Next to this truck is a Green V-8 Pickup that a man is busy either loading or unloading lumber at the site of a home being constructed. The caption mentions body lengths up to 8 1/2-ft and one-piece anodized aluminum grills. Below these can be seen a Red Light-duty Dump Model with a factory-mounted body and their Gray and white Metro-Mite, described as “America’s lowest priced walk-in”. The text claims that International Trucks have a reputation for standing up under hard work…for saving money from first mile to last…for low maintenance and remarkable durability”. They admit that “Some International models may cost a little more” but assures you that you get a lot more for your money.
