The ad shows the B-36 “Photographed on a recent test flight” flying overhead and the headline proudly proclaims that “America has The World’s Biggest Bomber!”. The text gives many specifics and claims about this plane and, as a sign of the times of that day, claims that “If this country were attacked” the B-36 could “drop bombs on any city in the world”. The bottom part of the ad is devoted to the Convair 240 with the claim that “…The World’s Most Modern Twin-Engine Airliner is on the way!”. The text here mentions the speed of 300 MPH, the pressurized cabins and gives a list of airlines that have ordered fleets of this plane.
