Description

Pontiac Tempest Convertible Ad 1962Pontiac Tempest Convertible – Full color 9 1/2″ x 12 1/2″ ad for the EconomyPerformance and the Traction this little car has. The picture in the ad is an overhead view of a Black Tempest convertible with the top down driving in circles on a dirt field. The headline calls this “The Gas-saving ‘4’ with Pontiac Punch” and claims that the “New Tempest has biting traction. Credit the perfect balance.” The text claims that the perfect balance comes from having the engine in the front and the transmission in the rear which allows this car to carve hairpin turns flat and level. Adding to the performance is the fact that this car has four-wheel independent suspension and there are five different horsepower to choose from in their four cylinder engines and a special aluminum V-8 if you are really exotic.
