Full color 9 1/4″ x 12″ ad for their Filter Tip Cigarettes. The ad has a photo of a man who has been busy unloading the back of his car that is filled with plants that need to be planted. He is taking a break so his wife can light a cigarette for him. The ad headline claims that “Viceroy’s got the Deep-Weave Filter and the taste that’s right”. It also says that “Viceroy is scientifically made to taste the way you’d like a filter cigarette to taste. Not too strong…not too light. Viceroy’s got the taste that’s right”. They even encourage you to “Smoke all 7” indicating there are six other filter cigarettes that have a filter. Boy, this was early in the life of cigarettes.
