Description

Viceroy Ad 1962Full color 9 1/4″ x 13 1/2″ ad that has a photo of two young men totaling up their scores while playing a game of golf. The one man is writing scores down on the scorecard while the other man holds a lit lighter in front of him; maybe to light his cigarette, maybe to set the scorecard on fire if the man doesn’t write the correct score down. The words at the top of the page tell us that Viceroy’s got the Deep-Weave Filter for the taste that’s right” and the words at the bottom of the ad try to convince us that their correct. It says that Viceroy is scientifically made to taste the way you’d like a filter cigarette to taste. Not too strong…not too light…Viceroy’s got the taste that’s right”. At the bottom right side of the ad there is a photo indicating that there are 7 filter brands available and urges you to try all of them.
