The man is smoking a Salem and he is lighting one up for the lady as they stumble through the tall grass. The ad headline asks you to “Turn to Salem for a taste that’s Springtime Fresh” and the text claims that Salem offers Rich Tobacco Taste and Menthol Soft Flavor.
