Description
Full color 9 1/2″ x 13 1/2″ wartime ad that highlights the fact that Old Gold cigarettes are flavored with Apple Honey. There is a picture of a sailor and his girl riding in a wagon that is being pulled by a horse with a crown of apple blossoms. The girl is holding a large bouquet of pink apple blossoms and the trees are filled with the pink flowers. The sailor extends his arm toward the beauty and the ad headline tells us that “the flowers that bloom in the Spring…bring Apple ‘Honey’ to Old Golds“. The ad gives the advice to “Buy more War Bonds than you think you can afford!”. This ad is larger than my scanner bed so the outer edges of the ad will not be visible in the scanned view.
