Description
Full color 9 1/2″ x 13″ ad for more of Oldsmobile’s contributions to wartime efforts and productions. The ad headline calls it “Mine Sweeping – with heavy artillery!” and has a sequence of pictures that start with one showing German soldiers planting mines in an area that they are about to retreat from. The next shows Allied soldiers shooting 105 mm howitzers into this area with the result of the land mines being safely exploded before any Allied soldier takes a step. The ad text mentions that Oldsmobile is helping by producing these 105 mm shells as well as other rockets, cannons and shells. This ad is larger than my scanner bed so the outer edges of the ad will not be visible in the scanned view.
