Description

Squirt Ad 1953Black and white 5″ x 13 3/4″ ad that is for Squirt Soft Drink. This ad has two pictures at the top, a before and an after picture. In the first one, there are two boys sitting in the shade as one boy holds the basketball and their mother stands holding up two bottles of Squirt as the text claims that “If sweet soft drinks leave you thirsty…”. In the second picture, this is the after shot with the same two boys playing away at basketball and the text says that if you “Switch to Squirt…never an after-thirst”. The ad headline offers the same advice, “Switch to Squirt. Never an after-thirst”. The ad continues on by claiming that you will get a “Fresh, clean taste as you drink Squirt…fresh, clean taste after you drink Squirt…never an after-thirst!”. Then it says that “Yes, if sweet soft drinks leave you reaching for a water-cleanser, then Switch to Squirt – the one soft drink that can say and prove – never an after-thirst”.
