Description

Smirnoff Vodka Ad 1972Full color 8″ x 10 3/4″ ad that warns us that “It’s Yellow Fever season” and explains just what that is. There is a picture of a young man dressed in slacks and an unbuttoned shirt sitting at the end of a little boat and holding a Yellow Fever. Sharing the boat, and the two feet of it, is a girl wearing shorts, a tube top, a scarf and a hat while she does not have a drink. The ad laments that “This is the only time of the year when you can do nothing and not feel guilty. Doing absolutely nothing, however, isn’t all that easy”. They claim that last summer, while trying to do nothing, this drink was invented accidently. You are urged to try one the next time you feel like doing nothing.
