Description

Gilbey's Vodka Ad 1963Full color 10″ x 13″ ad for Gilbey’s Vodka, the drink that is “Smart, smooth, spirited…”. This ad is slightly different from the ones that were released during the past few years. This ad the lady is wearing an orange had, she has an orange sitting in front of her and the color of her drink is more orange than red. Other than those changes the lady is nearly the same. The text in this ad says that Gilbey’s Vodka dramatizes flavor, not with taste of its own, but with smart, smooth, undetectable spirit. This real difference is why the people who discovered vodka are now asking for Gilbey’s more and more. Sensibly priced, too”. Now the reason this ad has an orange instead of an apple like the other ads do. And the reason why she is wearing an orange hat. The next portion of the ad is “Screwdriver – Mix together 1 1/2 ozs. Gilbey’s Vodka and 3 ozs. well-chilled orange juice. Pour into sour glass. Add garnish of orange slice or cherry if desired”.
