This is an ad for the ’67 Chevy II, a car which is referred to as “The stylish economy car”. Shown in this ad is a man leaning against the passenger side of a 4-Door Nova that is sitting on a showroom floor. This man is dressed in a set of work clothes, papers in his pockets, and he is looking at you with a smile. Underneath the picture it says that this car is shown “With passenger-guard door locks – standard safety feature for your extra protection”. The text asks if you “Work hard for your money? So does Chevy II. From the acrylic lacquer finish outside to the solid utilized body construction underneath, it’s loaded with money-saving features. And not those that just save nickels and dimes either, but dollars. There’s a new starter motor that teams up with a new kind of battery to give quick sure starts. Flush-and-dry rocker panels help keep away rust. And there’s a long-life exhaust system that hardly ever gets exhausted. Chevy II works hard for your safety too. Among the many new features is the energy-absorbing steering column developed by General Motors”.
