Budweiser Ad 1947Full color 9 1/2″ x 13 1/2″ ad from their Great Contributions to Good Taste series. This ad talks about the fact that “America’s earliest Thanksgiving…was for Corn” and has a painting of Indians dancing in celebration for the maize that is in the foreground being worked on by an Indian maiden. After talking about what Corn meant to the Indians it talks about what it now means to modern man before relating Corn to Barley which is used in the production of beer, including Budweiser. The slogan “It lives with good taste everywhere” is prominent on the blue placemat under the glass and bottle of Budweiser.
