Description

Listerine Ad 1956Black and white 7 3/4″ x 11″ ad for their Antiseptic Mouthwash. There is a picture of a little girl holding a bunch of flowers sitting on the front steps of a church crying as she waits in her fancy dress. The headline says “‘There she was waiting at the Church!'” and the text explains that they were playing “Bride and Groom” and the cutest boy in the neighborhood told little Edna why he was walking out on her. It explains too that she is lucky to learn at an early age to fight halitosis with Listerine so that the rest of her life will be care-free.
