Description

Ralston Ad September 1944Full color 9 1/2″ x 13″ ad for their Hot Whole Wheat Cereal. There is a picture of a young boy on his way to school on a rainy day wearing shorts and tipping his hat to the inclement weather while the headline chants “Umbrellas and rubbers a blow to his pride? The wheat germ in Ralston protects from inside”. The text explains what wheat germ is and how it will help your hard-working and playing family members and the ad shows a box of Instant Ralston which will cook in 10 seconds and a box of the regular Ralston Whole Wheat Cereal which could be cooked and ready in 5 minutes. The ad also claims that “Hot Ralston is whole wheat plus extra protective wheat germ”.
