Campbell's Ad April 1941Full color 8 3/4″ x 12 1/2″ ad for the ad that reminds us that “Families all over the country are saying “Campbell‘s Soups are better than ever!”” In this ad they are concentrating on three soups. The first is Consommé soup for which it is said that “A dark gleaming amber broth, rich with invigorating beef flavor. Fine for parties and a great family favorite, too”. The second one is Pea Soup for which it is said that it is “A rich puree of fine garden peas. Serve it with water added…or with milk, as a smooth, extra-nourishing cream of pea:. The third kind os soup is the Vegetable Soup for which it is said “Fifteen different garden vegetables all in a hearty, well-simmered beef stock. This vegetable soup is “almost a meal in itself””. The text of the ad starts by saying that “Frankly, you can’t fool the women of America – and their families. (Not that we’d ever try to!) They are quick to taste improvement in the foods they eat. Lately they’ve been saying: What have they done to Campbell‘s Soups? They taste more delicious than ever”.
