Full color 10″ x 14″ ad for the “New Select Strawberries from Bird’s Eye“. Pictured on the ad is a ladies hand holding a bag that was filled with strawberries, not long ago frozen, She is pouring them into a glass dish, looking like she is preparing for a delicious meal. The ad says that “8 minutes ago, frozen solid” and “Now firm, delicious and ready to serve”. The secret is the “Flash-Thaw” which is what it was. They claim that Strawberries are only one of the four Fruits Continental desserts. The others are Mixed Fruit Supreme, Cherries Supreme and Peach Combinage. These only needed to be dropped into warm water for eight minutes.
